Feeling the baby!
While watching a movie last week Shaun was prepared to feel the baby if she decided to show off alittle. Low and behold, the baby kicked his hand right in the middle of my belly but not to hard. Today while attending institute, Shaun and I sat listening to the lesson and the baby decided to really kick me for the first time. It was like a slide kick across the right side of my belly. She isn't very strong yet but that was so awesome. Even while I'm sitting here, she is moving around alittle bit but I still can't feel her that much.
Three more weeks and her sex will be confirmed. Is it baby Brooklynn Vyera or Kaidyn Thomas? Take your vote at the bottom right. So far with my own personal list Brooklynn is in the lead seven to six.
As of last saturday we are either 15 or 16 weeks! She's really starting to show everyone that she means business with her amazing growth. Today she seems to be popping out more then ever. I really should take another picture and show off this cute belly she's creating for me.
Meanwhile, Shaun and I continue to go to work and school. Shaun hasn't been feeling well but has been doing well with homework and quizs! I too am doing well and keeping up with my classes.

Sept. 3, 2008
School has started over again. Shaun is working full time and going to school full time. He works from 2:30 to 11pm or later. In the mean time he is attend church and juggling his calling, homework and attending classes. I keep telling him, "You have 14 weeks left then you can have a 3 week break". I don't know if that helps. I am also a full time student but I only work 15-16 hours a week. My manager is aware that I am carrying a child and since she has a little one herself, she has given me the easiest job there. I just dish food for people and replace pans when empty. If I close, I unwrap everything in the hotbox, drain the water and wipe down everything. It's nice knowing I am taken care of.
Good news is that there are three of us pregnant in the Elegante family. One sister in law, Bri, is due Oct 3rd. My other sister in law, Christine, and I are due two weeks apart. We both find out the sex of our children about the time that Bri is having her baby. So this will be a very exciting end of the month. Shaun and I find out Sept 30 at 9:30 (we hope) and Christine will find out about a week later.
Funny Story: My husband and I first set up our appointment to find out the sex of our baby Oct. 20th. Well yesterday, our doctor told us we can find out in 4 to 4.5 weeks. Just before we left for school at 11:30ish, Shaun had this great idea not to tell anyone and let it be a surprise. The looser would have to due dishes for a week. Shaun is really good at keeping secrets. I thought for sure I was going to loose this one. When we found out we are pregnant I lasted maybe a few days. Well, I get a phone call at 5:38pm while I was eating dinner at work. Shaun asked me to refresh him on our bet. Well, he was talking to one of his co-workers he asked him when we were finding out. Without thinking he replies, Sept 30. I laughed so hard. I told him that I will be making a nice pile of rinsed off dishes for him in the sink. He replied, "Thanks for not rubbing it in!" I laughed so hard. More because of victory and shock. Up to that point in the day, I wasn't even able to talk to my family nor have time to socialize and be tempted to spill the beans.
We have also been able to go camping alot lately. When arrowhunting season starts those boys go crazy and are so anxious to get out there and hunt. You should have seen there faces as they drove up there to set up camp! It's been fun being with family and spending time with them. Even though I doesn't look like it sometimes, I really do like being out there. I'm finally over much of my nausa so I can enjoy it alot more. We play card games like phase 10, go fourwheeling alot, shoot beebee guns and ride around in the truck picking up "the boys". They go out at 5am and get back at about 9am or later. In the evening they go out at 4:30 and we get back at around 10:00. Wow I didn't realize how long that was. Meanwhile, Dad Elegante drives a truck full of daughters and grandchildren. It rained monday which ment that all of us wanted inside the truck. We were able to fit 9 adults and 2.5 children. Dad also cooks for us nearly every meal. That is his specialty. Since they are camping, the men cook. The boys have had a few opportunities to shoot but haven't actually killed anything. Shaun's brother hit a deer in the rib cage but the deer got away. He's come back a few times to find it and have another shot. Another brother actually found it but wasn't able to get a good shot either. They say there aren't as many deer out this year. There is a black moose running around out there of which we have seen atleast three times. Pretty awesome.
