Brooklynn loves her new swing set. She has to go down the slide anytime we go outside. We are also babysitting another two year old every weekday from 9 to 2 pm. Those two have so much fun together.

A Couple Quiz
1. How long have you been together?
three years, two months
2. How long did you know each other before you started dating?
Slim to none. I gave him a ride home from institute a couple of times and talked to him for the first time at a friends party. We didn't date until he bought me for $15.
3. Who asked who out?
Well my bishop told me to go on a date before then end of the year. I was put on a list until I do so. Well I wanted the guy to ask me out so I put myself up for the Sub for Santa auction. Shaun purchased me for $15. Dinner and a date. He says that was the best $15 he ever spent.
4. How old are each of you?
Shaun: 24 Crystal: 28
5. Whose siblings do you see the most?
Shaun's
6. Do you have children together?
We have a child together.
7. What about pets?
We were given a fish from some dear friends of ours.
8. Did you go to the same school?
We both graduated from the same school.

No
10. Who is the smartest?
It depends in what area. We kind of equal each other out.

Crystal
12. Where do you eat out most as a couple?
Mandarin Gardens or Golden Corral

Shaun makes breakfast, I make lunch and we both make dinner.

Shaun wakes up the easiest, I like to contemplate the idea of being awake for quite a while before moving...sometimes falling back asleep until breakfast is ready or the munchkin wakes up. (Hannah, I stole some of this entry)

At a free choir concert. I made tacos before hand.
23. Who has the bigger family?
Well I have 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Shaun has 4 brothers and one sister. I guess I have the bigger family. I also have double to parents.
24. Do you get flowers often?
Valentines Day and Mothers Day usually.
25. How do you spend the holidays?
We are trying not to travel to much because we both want to relax. But we always end up traveling a lot for Christmas.
26. Who is more jealous?
No jealousy here.
27. Who does the laundry?
I do. Unless it isn't finished before Shaun gets home than it's a team effort.

We would love to have more children.

End of Semester
*This semester ends officially December 17th. Shaun and I graduate.
*We have moved again but this time we bought our first home! I'll take pictures when we get our new sofa.
*Brooklynn is also going to have an early birthday party December 19th.
*My mom will be in town from Arizona. I'm excited to see her.

Fall 2010
Now that the semester is half way through, I have decided to tell you about it. Shaun got his job in the IT department at Thermo Fisher including a pay raise. He also goes to school full time which means he is gone from 7:20am-7:10pm or 8pm monday thru thursday. He is able to come home earlier on fridays around 5pm.
We have been be able to work with our schedules until this semester without a baby sitter but with my crazy internship hours we need someone to help us out. THANK YOU!! I have an hour class on tuesday morning and a possibility of a full days schedule from 9am-9pm wednesday and thursdays. Those two days are really random since it depends when clients come for counseling sessions. Shaun mentioned this crazy schedule to some of the guys at work and one of their spouses volunteered to watch Brooklynn for only a dollar an hour. So I usually bring her to there during my random times wednesday and thursday. Lately it's been from 8am-3pm. In the evening, I have neighbors who volunteer their time from 5:30-7pm until Shaun gets home to watch Brooklynn. THANK YOU! A few times I have had a couple of other people help us out around 4pm until my neighbors could come at 5:30pm.
I go to the Family Life Center early to get a parking spot. No one day is the same. This internship requires us interns to observe client counseling sessions, call and follow up with clients, present financial and housing information at workshops and other events, and counsel clients about purchasing a home. We also have two goals to complete at the end of the semester. I have decided to read two financial books and write reports on them. I really enjoy reading. We are also required to update a section of the resource books available at the center and pass out information about a financial workshop provided. If anyone is interested in learning about financial managemnt or steps to obtain a home, just give the Family Life Center a call @ 435-797-7224. Other HUD approved non-profit organizations are also listed at www.hud.gov.
In the meantime, Brooklynn is growing up so fast. She has not been sleeping the best at night since I started this internship. I think she just doesn't want to be left behind. It breaks my heart every time I leave because she screams and cries. Luckily, she only does this for a few minutes after I leave and is fine the rest of the day. I play as much as I can when I am home. She loves books and pointing to things I ask her to find. She'll come pat my legs and brings me books as I sit at the computer. I love my baby girl. I hope one day soon we can add to our little family and Brooklynn can have a brother or sister. I will attach pictures soon.
